On a sunny Saturday afternoon in an American suburb, an unnamed Nigerian tried crossing the road during a walk. A white American suddenly speeds past in a Ford pickup and yells, "Go back to the jungle you're from you monkey!"... Such a racist pig, don't you think? Clap for yourself aunty/uncle swine. If you thought this post would gratify your racial tendencies, sorry to break it to you nigger.

You see, it's always easy to crucify others for something. But when you're the perpetrator, your inner Marlian would be conjured and you will look away. A black man calls you nigga, and it's cool. But let a white man do it, and he's the most villainous thing to ever happen since Hitler and the "Germans". The level of double standards is absolutely shocking. It's more than just a historical vendetta between whites and blacks. There is absolutely no biological backing for the concept of race, hence it is not a scientific, but a social construct. Scientifically, there's only one race; the human race, as we all originated from modern day Ethiopia. But an attempt to classify humans, by humans, led to the social concept of race. Thus, any group of people perceived to have a different ancestry and heritage from yours basically qualifies to be a race. Generalizing members of any of these groups in an offensive light in which you don't see your own group, is systemic racism, as you're basically emphasizing the superiority of your race. If you're a Nigerian Southerner likening Northerners to cows or animals, you're racist. If you're a Northerner referring to a Southerner as "Yanmirin", congratulations. You think you're better than that Anambra man because he pronounces "lorry" as "rolly" and "oil" as "oyel", you're doing well. You think you're better because "all Ibadan people are dirty" and pronounce "Shoprite" as "Soprite". You're from Ogun, you refer to others from the upper parts like Osun, Oyo, Kwara as "ará òkè" (yes, it's used to insult goofy people, and it's eponymous), and you call others racist. You think all Chinese people are merely bat eaters and virus peddlers, it is well. Did you suddenly forget that white people are weaker and dumber than we are? Or is it the "the only thing Arabs are for is suicide bombing" mentality? I could go on until my pen writes it's resignation in it's own blood. These might seem like mere stereotypes, but stereotypes and racial slurring aren't mutually exclusive. It IS a racist remark when it sets the racial group you belong on a higher physical, psychological, intellectual, and behavioral pedestal than the group the jibe (emphasis on jibe) is aimed at. 

"But... But the whites.. They killed and still kill blacks, so it's a different case". Blacks kill whites everyday, blacks kill blacks everyday, and whites kill whites everyday. Because it's interracial (it's not what came to your mind) killing doesn't mean it's not homicide, or genocide. I'm not defending racism in anyway, maybe I am, but we've all been racist at some point. However you put it, it is what it is. You're a racist pig as well. It's just no fun when it's your turn to play the victim.
